Sorry for the lack of updates. Things have been really crazy right after the last journal entry (a.k.a. a bit of soul searching here and there in between work). Right now I'm just expanding the visibility of my artworks to include social networking here - http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Art-of-Ariel-C-Atienza/100438056750599 (which you can "like" if you like) and http://kartoonista.tumblr.com/ for some general weirdness and new photographs that I took.

Dreadful news. I woke up to the sight of my external hard drive on the floor, my cat apparently, being a frisky one at that at his age, seemed to have accidentally pushed it off the table and now it's not working. I'm trying not to make a mental account of what it contained and what I lost lest I fall into depression. Right now I'm trying very hard to be philosophical about it, admitting that I won't be seeing those new files of artworks I did, photographs accumulated all these years, installers, downloads, mp3s, clip art, textures, reference photographs, videos, etc. ever again. I have no idea yet how much material I can get from old CDs I b
